Miriam R. Burow Harris studied and earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Science (biological and biomedical) and studied Studio Art. She has work experience in both fields, some of which includes working as a veterinary nurse, wildlife rehabilitation work, specialized and specific learning consulting, public high school art teaching, and art commissions for private collectors.

Miriam loves to approach opportunities and challenges with interdisciplinary skills and perception.

The people that Miriam tends to admire the most allowed their interests and love of different fields of study to continually cultivate their love of learning, pushing these individuals to advance in these fields and to sometimes advance the fields themselves. Miriam believes that the barriers and divisions that we place between subjects (like art and science) are not conducive to their advancement, and are misaligned with nature as a whole. Just as “iron sharpens iron”, there is a shared and magnified benefit to both fields when they are used together, one that often pays in better understanding and appreciation.
